Want to display customer reviews from Google on your Jimdo website? This guide is for Jimdo Creator and explains how to add the Widget House Google Reviews Widget to one selected page or display it across your website from the shared Sidebar.
Before you begin, make sure you've created your widget and copied the installation code from your Widget House dashboard
Step-by-step guide to getting your Widget House widget code
Choose How You Want to Display the Widget
Add the widget to a single page
Log in to your Jimdo account and select the Creator website where you want to install the Google Reviews Widget.
Click Edit to open your website in Jimdo Creator edit mode.
Open your Widget House dashboard and copy the complete installation code generated for your Google Reviews Widget.
The installation code contains two parts: a loading <script> and a visible <div> container with your unique widget ID.
Keep both parts together and in the original order.
Compatibility: This guide is for Jimdo Creator. Jimdo Website Builder does not support custom HTML, JavaScript, iframes, or external widgets added through embed code.
Step 1: Open Jimdo Creator and Copy the Widget Code
Open the page where you want the Google Reviews Widget to appear.
Scroll to the exact section where visitors should see the reviews.
The Google Reviews Widget is static, which means it appears exactly where its Widget/HTML Element is placed on the page.
For example, you can place the widget below a service description, above a contact form, before a call-to-action, inside a testimonials section, or near the bottom of the page.
Choose a wide content area so the Google Reviews carousel, slider, or grid has enough horizontal space.
Step 2: Open the Page and Choose the Widget Position
Hover over the selected content area until the Add Element button appears.
Click Add Element.
Select More Elements and Add-ons.
Choose Widget/HTML.
Jimdo will add a new Widget/HTML Element to the selected position and open its code field.
Do not use a regular text element, because it may display the installation code as visible text instead of running the widget.
Step 3: Add a Widget/HTML Element
Paste the complete Google Reviews Widget installation code from your Widget House dashboard into the Widget/HTML Element.
Keep the loading <script> and the Google Reviews <div> container together and in the original order.
Do not remove, split, rename, or change any part of the installation code.
Do not wrap the code in additional <pre>, <code>, or <iframe> tags.
Click Save to apply the code.
The code shown in the screenshots is an example. Always use the installation code generated for your own widget so the correct reviews, settings, and design are displayed.
Step 4: Paste the Google Reviews Widget Code
Open the live page in a new browser tab and make sure the Google Reviews Widget appears in the selected position.
Check the page on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Make sure the reviews are fully visible and do not overlap text, images, forms, buttons, or other page content.
If the widget is too narrow, return to the Jimdo editor and move the Widget/HTML Element to a wider content area.
If the widget does not appear, reopen the Widget/HTML Element and confirm that both the <script> and <div> were saved.
If the installation code appears as text, make sure you used a Widget/HTML Element rather than a regular text element.
You may also need to refresh the live page, open it in a private browser window, or clear your browser cache.
Step 5: Check the Widget on the Live Page

Show It on All Pages of Your Website
Because the Google Reviews Widget is static, it must be placed in a visible content area that repeats across your Jimdo Creator website.
The Jimdo Creator Sidebar is shared across the website. Content added to it is automatically repeated on every page.
Depending on the selected Jimdo template, the Sidebar may appear beside the main content or underneath it.
Open any page and locate the shared Sidebar area.
Make sure you are working inside the Sidebar rather than in the regular content area of only one page.
If your template does not provide a suitable shared area for the selected Google Reviews layout, add the widget separately to the required pages instead.
Do not add the complete static widget only through Menu → Settings → Edit Head. That location can load scripts globally but does not create a controlled visible position for the Google Reviews container.
Step 1: Open the Shared Sidebar
Choose the exact position in the shared Sidebar where you want the Google Reviews Widget to appear.
You can place it above or below contact details, business hours, social links, or other shared content.
Use the widest available Sidebar position so the Google Reviews layout has enough horizontal space.
If the Sidebar appears underneath the main page content, it may provide more room for a carousel, slider, or grid.
If your Sidebar is narrow, consider using a compact Badge or Slider layout in Widget House.
If no available position is wide enough, install the widget separately in the regular content area of each required page.
Step 2: Choose the Widget Position in the Sidebar
Hover over the selected Sidebar position until the Add Element button appears.
Click Add Element → More Elements and Add-ons → Widget/HTML.
Jimdo will add the Widget/HTML Element to the shared Sidebar.
Because Sidebar content repeats on every page, the widget will be available throughout the website.
Add only one Widget/HTML Element containing the Google Reviews code to avoid displaying the widget more than once.
Step 3: Add a Widget/HTML Element to the Sidebar
Paste the complete Google Reviews Widget installation code from your Widget House dashboard into the Sidebar Widget/HTML Element.
Keep the loading <script> and the Google Reviews <div> container together and in the original order.
Do not edit the script URL, container ID, widget ID, or any other part of the installation code.
Do not wrap the code in an additional <iframe> or code-display element.
Click Save to apply the installation code.
The code shown in the screenshots is an example. Always use the installation code generated for your own widget before saving the element.
Step 4: Paste and Save the Widget Code
Open several live pages, such as the home page, contact page, service page, store page, and a blog post if applicable.
The Google Reviews Widget should appear in the shared Sidebar on every page of your Jimdo Creator website.
Depending on the template, the Sidebar may appear beside or underneath the main page content.
Check the widget on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Make sure it is fully visible and does not overlap contact information, navigation, forms, or other Sidebar content.
If the widget appears only on one page, it was probably added to the regular page content rather than to the shared Sidebar.
If the widget appears twice, check whether the installation code was added to more than one Widget/HTML Element or both to the Sidebar and an individual page.
If the widget is too narrow, move it to a wider Sidebar position, choose a more compact Widget House layout, or install it separately in the main content area of the required pages.
If your latest changes are not visible, refresh the live pages, open them in a private browser window, and clear your browser cache if necessary.
Step 5: Check the Widget Across Your Website
All set. Your Google Reviews Widget should now be working on your Jimdo Creator website.
